I was scrolling down the page, so I only saw the top half of the photo first (which was bad enough).

Why should I buy 60 trashbags at 3 cents a piece when I can buy the 10 I need this month for 50 cents?

10 bags per month at 50¢/bag. $5/month for 6 months is $30.

10 bags per month at 3¢/bag.
30¢/month for 6 months is $1.80.

Because $28.20 or $56.40 a year baw.

Sorry that your house is too small to store those extra 50 bags.

Because you're throwing money away? If you have that outlook with every single time you buy, you're going to waste a shitload of money over your life.

The trash bags were a bad example, but the disconnect here is that the monetary cost of something is not always necessarily indicative of its "value." Those of you pointing out that you save $x are putting the monetary cost above all other factors (which when dealing with the garbage bags is probably the right thing to do). However, when it comes down to the pizza example, I may value having fresh pizza every time I eat it more than I do saving $3. I can save a shite ton of money by never eating out, but guess what, I enjoy eating out every so often.

I look at it more as I can have 1 meal for $10 or have 2 of that meal for $13. But I'm not so pompous as to be above eating leftovers.

I don't really see what that has to do with anything being discussed. Everybody spends frivolously in some way. But that makes life fun.

ProTip:
Take leftover pizza and double wrap it in Walmart/plastic grocery bags. Keeps fresh and alot easier to fit pizza in them than ziplocks. And pretty much free if you keep plastic grocery bags in the house.

I do this with 2 larges at a time(fold in half and then quarters and pizza fits in one bag easily) when I bring home leftover from pizza parlor and I want to bring to co-workers at dayjob.
You can also freeze pizza like this for up to a month if wrapped up good.

Reheat in toaster oven on full blast for 7-8 minutes(2 slices) and comes out fantabulous with a crispier crust.

frick it, I'm poor. Read the "poorest you've ever been thread".

No, but apparently so pompous as to ascribe nefarious intentions to people when they actually had none. Congrats on being an a-hole.

It actually directly relates to the discussion. It's called a comparison.

That wasn't meant for you specifically. But congrats on the thin skin.

Deciding to go out to eat does not directly relate to whether or not you should spend a couple extra dollars on a larger size.

A shitty one at best.

Thin crust medium pizza with mushrooms are a diet pizza. You get skinny on them. Fact.

No, the context of the comparison was saving money vs. not saving money and why someone may choose to do the later.

Well, I'm not surprised you think that considering the fact that you so obviously missed the context of the comparison.

Add fresh maters, onion, bell peps, japs/nanner peps guilt free as well.

If you want another protip(as if anyone's reading): order a pj's pizza with NO cheese. Then add the 3 cheese and 2 cheese blend as two separate toppings. If you have a coupon for up to 5 toppings you can still add 3 more. That will get you actual FRESH REAL cheese on your pizza and not the woodchip "100% real cheese" that ALL the big chains use.

This is too stupid to even garner a response, so....

You're ignoring so many different variables that go into it. When deciding on dine in vs cooking at home, you're factoring in time, type of food, how hard it is to cook, do you want a night out, etc.

When deciding on a large pizza compared to medium, almost none of that is considered.

I didn't miss anything.

No, I'm not. That was my whole point. You're solely factoring in the monetary cost. I'm saying there are other considerations. Thanks for agreeing, though.

Well, that's debatable.

What else is there to consider when deciding on getting the much larger pizza for couple extra bucks?

You've already decided what you're eating, from where you're eating it. The only consideration is if the value is there for the extra couple bucks. Try as you might, you're not changing that.

Well, that's debatable.

In your mind, sure.

Seriously? It's not the same cheese? I had no idea.
