Bc I've lived both. Have you lived substantially in both Nola and BR?

And what shining example of urban civilization do you live in to compare to Houston?

BR

I like giving all the TX baws shite about their state since it usually works them up pretty good.

That being said, what is special about houston? I have lived there in stints, but never found anything truly special about it. I really dislike how big all the bars/restaurants are, not too many neighborhood bars that I have grown so accustomed to in south LA.

Astros games are tite tho, big fan of going to those, and the Mexican food.

Houston is pretty big and generic. Nothing bad really, but nothing exceptional either. It just feels to me like one big sprawling generic suburb.

I work around there and used to avoid Essen like the plague. I drive it often now. It's one of the better flowing busy streets in BR.

I was on BR last month and was pleasantly surprised. They did a good job with it. Wish they could do the same on College.

knowing the political climate on this site, I have a pretty good feeling the same people that say "if you dont like our country then leave!!", are probably the same ones who "hate" Baton Rouge but come in to watch an LSU game or visit BR for entertainment purposes at least 4 times a year. If you dont like our city, then bye Felicia.

Not just Houston, but so many other places if you have the means. LA ranks near last in all major categories. Why make your kids be educated in LA?

I moved to Boise and it was the best decision I ever made. I took this pic a couple weeks ago, 30 minutes from the house. 68 degrees and nobody around except Eagles and the one guy in a pontoon boat. You just can't get that there.

Not bad in October. Late November early December it turns and I'm not going to lie, it sucks. I'm not a cold weather person but most of the time the sun is out. I have had to roll the windows down on my truck and it was 24 degrees.

Yep. Lived on camp near breaux martfrom 2010-2012 and the traffic was no better than where I live in BR now

You clearly had a long commute or something in BR

What a stupid statement

saying I'm willingly living in BR does not mean I'm refusing to acknowledge there are other good places to live

BR Traffic is worse than Nola. Don’t even pretend it’s not.
