not sure this argument applies when he was discussing a traffic bottleneck that isn’t even in the city of New Orleans

One argument being bad doesn’t save the next one from being bad

Each city has their faults, but you Baton Rouge guys are kidding yourselves if you don’t think traffic is worse there. Sure if you live 1 mile from your work it’s not bad, but going across town sucks, the surface streets traffic sucks and there really isn’t any denying it

Crime is worse in Nola
Traffic is worse in Baton Rouge
Politics is laughable in both

Yeah, this is just not true. I live off highland and lee and would take 20 minutes just to get to the interstate at perkins or college in the afternoons.

when I lived on campus, it would take 10 minutes to get through the lights on Highland @ Aster, Highland @ State, and State @ Dalrymple

re: Why would anyone willingly live in Baton Rouge?
Originally from NOLA, but after graduating from LSU I had zero desire to stay in BR. There's nothing wrong with it, just didn't tickle my fancy. I can see why a lot of people choose to build their careers there as BR has more opportunity then NOLA.

That being said, I think all of us south LA baws can agree that even the worst city in south LA is better than the best city in north LA

I live in Jefferson/Corporate. I work downtown, almost eight miles away. It takes me 11 minutes on the interstate, or if that’s jammed up, 20 minutes taking Jefferson to Government. When I leave home/work, I just check google maps and see which to take.

Why in the hell do you give a damn where anyone else lives? There are hundreds of posts on this exact topic. OP, you aren't special. Nobody cares that you wouldn't live in BR. Nobody cares where you live. Nobody cares where I live. Nobody gives a shite. If you worry about it, then you are retarded.

It is very easy to stay south of Florida Blvd. Crime is minimal in the vast majority of the city-parish.

says who?

the people who bitch about traffic and say BR has the worst obviously has never been anywhere else

Me.

Born and raised in BR and a Nola resident for 15 years now. I'd rather chew both my arms off than get out in BR traffic, but Nola traffic is bearable.

You can’t get from the lake to the interstate on Essen in 10 minutes much less anywhere in BR
