Any experience with speed bleeders that supposedly make brake bleeding a one person job?

Pair of vice grips and clamps and you don't need to undue brake lines or bleed them after changing out the pads.

anyone pointed out you can get an oil change for $20?

not worth my time to put my car on jacks and deal with this shite.

in fact the honda dealer here (metrocenter) runs the $19 special all the time and you can munch on free hot dogs and popcorn while you're waiting..any car..not just hondas.

Given the initial velocity is what carries the majority of the unfilitered contaminants out, fumoto valves are a great idea in theory, but a bad idea in reality.

It's pretty easy on my Tacoma. Plenty of room to get under and access the drain plug and the filter is easily accessible from under the hood. Plan on teaching my 7 year old how to change oil this summer.

All they would have to do is make the oil drain spout and filter easily accessible where just about anyone could do it.

If those neanderthals that work on your vehicle can get to it, you can.

Probably am just lucky and why I said I wasn't suggesting it. It's just what his dad told me and I haven't done anything more than add oil from time to time. Never drained it. Never changed a filter. Like you said, probably just lucky, but got lucky twice so far. Believe me, I find it just as odd because it runs contrary to everything I've been told for years and to what little bit I know.

If you haven't changed your filter in that many miles it's clogged and your oil us going thru the bypass, you're damn lucky you haven't spun a bearing, and I can guarantee you that you have some clogged oil passages, the fact they are still running is mind blowing, to me at least.
