I will

can you give me examples though? not hating, as I don't care how you dress, I just genuinely don't get the appeal

in the summer heat, I want as less as material and bulk on me as possible, so my 5" shorts are perfect

if I need to carry tools, I'll wear a tool belt

I just bought a pair of, what looks to be cargo long pants from Costco, looked like they'd be good for working around the house if it ever cools down here

I tried to find a pic of a dude wearing a tool belt with shorts because it sounded hilarious, but turns out googling "shorts and tool belt" returns 100% women

No examples to really give. I like them and they are comfortable. Maybe if you are working in a tight space and have stuff in the pockets could make it difficult.

Hell, I mow in pants and a long sleeve shirt these days. Can't stand getting grass on me especially my legs. And yes, they are cargo pants

It’s just about how good you look to begin with. Don’t wear a polo with cargo shorts, ect.

If you're trying to dress up and look nice, don't wear shorts period. Looking like you just hit the tanning bed and the spa so you can wear your shorts with a nice shirt and think it's acceptable is equally as trashy.

Wait, you think you can't "dress up" and look nice in shorts? I mean I get that it's not business attire, but this is weird.

Let me guess. You rock the faggy pastel looking half thigh shorts while worrying about what other dudes wear? Not everyone can strive to be such a fashionista I guess.

I wear them because I like how they fit; rarely put anything in the pockets except my wallet, phone, keys & coins.

How is the fit different than the same shorts with fewer pockets?

can't think of a single one where I would want any of those things

I had an old pair of cargos shorts like the Eli guy posted on the last page and I eventually cut off the pockets because they were just useless material/weight that I didn't want when doing things around the house

Your husband must be proud. You sound like you make a great house wife and it's great that you don't want to waste money on new shorts.

That poster was talking about real projects (building things, equipment maintenance, whatever), not dishes and laundry. Maybe for Christmas you can get some more girly shorts.
