Why the cluster of radio towers north of Shreveport?

Probably to radio in to aliens to tell them about how shitty of a town Shreveport is.

It's so radio signals can be sent over the mountains of East Texas and Southwest Arkansas.

If you're heading north on 49, I grew up in the last town before you hit the Arkansas line. I grew up fishing Caddo lake right by the towers. If you're driving and somebody asked where you were and you were by the towers,we would say, "I'm coming through the hills". CSB, I know.
