I'm weird in that I don't exercise for vanity/diet. I exercise 3-5 times a week because I know I'll be a fat arse who needs 5 different blood pressure pills if I don't do it and I'm literally scared of being that person.

Whenever I feel off kilter at all I just double up on exercise and it usually fades away. I wasn't blessed with a great metabolism so it's up to me to speed it up. It’s actually time for stair climber right now. Just celebrated Elite 8 Saturday with donuts so I’ll probably go at it for awhile.

Because it isn't fun. When you were a kid exercising was fun because you didn't realize you were excercising.

That's the key, just combine with stuff you enjoy.

Hiking, softball, baskeball, etc. Gym routines get boring after a while.

Some people are addicted to their gym routine. Different strokes.

I have 3 kids and they have after school activities 6-7 days a week for most of the year. My wife and I make it a point to stay in decent shape for each other. We make time for it.

You don't have to push weight or run on a treadmill to exercise. If there is an outdoor activity you enjoy, do it 2-3 times a week.

Guilty. If I don’t get a morning lift in, I’m probably in a bad mood that day

Yep, kinda depends on your personality.

I like to exercise and have been couple times a week. But feel like I'm getting old. I'll be sore and be hurting for days after. Never really took supplements so don't know if any muscle recovery stuff really works. I miss being in my 20s lol

Me and my wife exercised more when we first met. Now it might be once or twice a month.

I really mentally want to but fail to make it happen most times. I get on a cardio trip few months. Other than that I'm blessed to have decent genetics.

This. I see folks in their 50s who can barely walk and it scares me to the gym. Everything I do now determines what kind of old man I'll be if I live that long. I also enjoy bullshitting with the old facts at the Y.

If I don;t do it in the morning, I am too tired at the end of the day... plus motivation.

This

Same with running. Running is the most boring thing ever and(probably mentally) i get exhausted what feels like almost immediately, but I can play basketball or tennis for hours on end.

Because its hard to do solo, when you're no good at it.

Its easy in high school when you're playing team sports and have friends to push each other and hours of the day set aside and dedicated to it. When you're old, home alone, out of shape, work kicking your arse, wife keeping a long list of to-dos, kids stuff every weekend, its damn hard to find the motivation for it.

At least that's why its tough for me to stay on the wagon.

I worked out at a mostly minority gym and I never left the gym not laughing. It was a good time.

I exercise with mostly white women but I get my haircut at an all black barber shop. I dude named Iceman cuts my hair. He gives me the best haircut I’ve ever had and have a blast at the barber shop with the 15 dudes that seem to be spending their entire Saturday there. It’s a much better experience that Sports Cuts every gave me.

Exercising is painful to me. It’s physically painful, and I don’t feel any kind of endorphin high after that many describe. I also have poor technique, so I often injure myself while exercising.

Yhis. I actually had a decent routine when I had a friend who would work out with me. I hate just exercising at a gym by myself.
