Or we relegate history to museums as relics of the past instead of celebrating that embarrassing past via statues of traitors in public squares, racist and separatist names affixed on government buildings, or flying the flag of an American enemy.

MLK was an unrepentant homophobe. Not to mention a philanderer and plagiarist.All streets and monuments must be torn down/replaced,right? Not to mention Bill Clinton and his misogyny? And don't get me started on JFK and his racism and philandering and so forth. And let's not forget that Obama was elected in 2008 by denying gays the right to marry.
