Maybe not a movie but Battlefield 1 is great.

I'll add All's Quiet on the Western Front

there were incredible acts of heroics in WWI that would most definitely transfer to movies.
I highly recommend:

My point about the Korean War was that it wasn't long enough for anyone to really pay much attention to it.
Hollywood turned a 3-year war into 11 seasons of "M*A*S*H".

The Air War during World War One provides very fertile ground for some great movie making. There are some films about the Great War in the Air but way too few excellent films on this topic.
There have been films on the Red Baron and on the American flyers. I don't think that any of them really hit the nail on the head.
So far as I can tell, a 1966 movie called "The Blue Max" is the best film on this topic.

Probably because there were no real victories during the war. Yes, the Allies won the Somme and Verdun but were they really victories?

Are you really going to try to sell to me that MASH was a Korean War piece? That TV show could've been anywhere. The war was just its backdrop.

Wonderwoman was good. And the main jew has a very lickable butt.

I don't have to sell you anything. It was set during the Korean War, and had plots that were relevant to that fact.
True, you could've changed a few things and placed it in another war. But you could do that to almost anything. And they didn't. Therefore, it's a show about the Korean War.

And this is something that Hollywood could use to push a message. Nothing says "make peace, not war" more than hundreds of thousands of soldiers getting slaughtered just to capture a few miles of territory for very little strategic gain.
Hard to thread a queer/tranny courage social lesson in there though.

But will licking it give you terminal cancer? And if so, would you still do it?

doesn't have the same pizzaz of WW2
complicated narrative, WW2 is very easy to cast as good vs evil

This is kind of a tin foil hat theory though I do not intend it to be . I feel from an early age we are molded in to someone's idea to be an American. Our schools, our entertainment, advertising, holidays, etc. they follow certain guidelines based on chosen history. We don't really question it because for the most part, everyone is on the same page because it's ingrained in us all. People who are into things that aren't mainstream are considered weird and no one wants to be considered weird in today's society as a whole. Today however, more and more people are starting to think for themselves and broaden they're knowledge and are becoming interested in different cultures and some markets are paying attention.

WWI was more about alliances that countries had entered into and promises that were made that they couldn't get out of. A lot of that had to do with the fact that the crowned heads were all related in one way or another. It was kind of a family affair.

Have you ever seen video from the Korean war? Unless you go looking for it, it's unlikely. The American public just wasn't very exposed to it. My point about the Korean War was that it wasn't long enough for anyone to really pay much attention to it.
Do you understand that there is a plethora of information out there on both of those wars that aren't in video? You don't need video of the war to make a film adaptation. If that was the case then explain Game of Thrones, or Harry Potter, etc.
