Why no end of cycle buzzer on washing machine?

Seems like every dryer I ever owned had an end of cycle buzzer but never seen this on a washer.
I get clothes may wrinkle in dryer but would be nice to know when the washer is complete with a cycle.

Mine plays a nice little jingle like my washing machine

Mine has one. It's a little song.
I turn off the buzzer on my dryer. It's annoying.

Mine has one but I prefer not to be notified. So I turn them all off.

Maybe don't have a washer from 1973.

Washing machines are usually slower than the time it takes clothes to dry.

"hey Siri, set a timer for 45 minutes"
or Alexa, Google, etc. It's never been easier to set alarms and reminders than it is right now. Don't make things more complicated than they are.

Get a new one that has wifi and an app.
Some may send a push notification your clothes are done.
I think Samsung has this feature and you can customize the wash settings more.

I’ll ask the housemaids and see if they have an explanation.

It's a 10 or so year old Speed Queen.

Mine is OFF. Nobody needs that noise.
Turn it to max dry time and leave. Will be dry when you come back.
If I am wondering if it is dry yet, I open the door.

The number next to what you set it for is called minutes.
Take that number and set a timer on your phone. The phone timer will go off and it will let you know when the washer is done.
You are welcome

Knew one of these once. All fun and games until their teeth start falling out.

We don’t have a buzzer, but the lid unlocking after the spin cycle is loud enough for my wife.

A Samsung washer we had played a digital song as it finished for all of the 8 months it ran.
