Why isn't cocaine legal?

I know it is addictive, but it's also basically harmless. I know more people that have fricked themselves up on weed and alcohol than cocaine. Cocaine is just a little sniff-sniff pick-me-up. Used to be totally legal 50 or 60 years ago.

It destroys the chemical synapses in your brain that act as pleasure receptors. Basically it fries them with over stimulation to the point where they don't react to normal impulses.
After cocaine abuse, you no longer feel the same pleasure from everyday things that used to make you happy.
It basically results in brain damage, depression, anxiety, and all sorts of other emotional problems.
Cocaine is a bad mama jama. Needs to be illegal.

FACT: Cocaine in Spanish is cocaina and it sounds like "coke-cuh-een-ya" and I know this from Breaking Bad.

If it is addictive, I wouldn’t say it is harmless. At the very least there ar some pretty serious consequences on society as a whole.

Well that’s not even close to true, cocaine is not weed. Whether or not it’s harmful for you isnt really the question, it’s why are opiates able to be legally obtained and cocaine isnt.
