It isn't like I am there for a couple hours where the service matters that damn much. I like the place but the real difference is the food selection that is quick and allows you a super fast in and out.
The best thing about Buc-ees is the quality food selection. Other than that it’s just a glorified gas station
no. I defy you to find any filling station in the state that matches the cleanliness or customer service (attitude) of Buc-ees.

For what it’s worth ... I know plenty convenience stores in BR with better food ...

Look at the people they would have to employ. It will never make it.

They're waiting on their license to sell boudin and Old English.

Very very few in La if any at all.
They are the Chick-fil-A of the gas station world, except on steroids.
When I stopped at the one at the Orange Beach exit this summer I did notice the pay scale they had listed and it seems very good for that area. For people at that general level, they are getting the best and training them well.

It's been mentioned. And the multiple downvotes follow.

The perfect place for a Buc ees in La. would be in Slidell where I-12, I-59 and I-10 intersect.
Pff... Y'all hate TX and call Shreveport a Dallas suburb.
The correct answer for the best location is near the intersections of I-49, I-20 and I-220. I get just West of Shreveport around the Industrial Loop or first Greenwood exit.

would be the biggest tourist attraction in north LA
although I think if/when it happens, it will be just east of Bossier

Bossier always kneecaps us on stuff like that, but that's a bad location pick IMO because you miss everyone traveling from Shreveport or up 49 headed to TX. You've got to get West of 49.

I bet you’re lovely to travel with

Sorry if I don't get excited about a glorified gas station. Just not that important to me.
