They had one for the I-10 corridor in Baton Rouge but the 2016 flood changed all that when that whole area was under water.
Personally a better location would be around the Hammond exit.
It would still do well in that corridor with so much traffic.

Why is it not in Louisiana? Because Louisiana would turn it into trash.

They figured LA already has enough good food and doesn't need fudge/cookies/beaver nuggets.

The best thing about Buc-ees is the quality food selection. Other than that it’s just a glorified gas station

Food selection is great....but the best thing about Buc-ees is the fact that it is immaculately clean all the time and the workers are actually helpful and friendly and act like they take pride in their job.

It is a damned shame that we have to celebrate a place that has those qualities because they are so few and far between in this country. If all places of business were clean with helpful workers, then Buc-ee's wouldn't be as big of a deal as it is.

Chevron off the Lobdell Exit has a Juju's chili dog restaurant inside. Cleanest gas station bathroom in Louisiana. It's like a hotel lobby bathroom.

The perfect place for a Buc ees in La. would be in Slidell where I-12, I-59 and I-10 intersect.

It would catch all of that traffic going back and fourth to the Redneck Riviera.

yes, that is what we need, something to slow down that interchange even more.

It wouldn't surprise me if they permitted the damn thing to be right there.

Traffic would come to a halt.

I'd much rather stop at a RaceTrak or Circle K. You can get in and out much quicker.

good idea. but if you have to shite or want to get something decent in the way of gas station food, Buc-ees is the better choice.

They were considering building one in BR in 2016, but the site they had initially picked flooded with several feet of water during the August Flood. Between that, the police shootings, the tax shenanigans from the new governor, and the new anti-business mayor, they decided to move forward with the location in Alabama instead.

no. I defy you to find any filling station in the state that matches the cleanliness or customer service (attitude) of Buc-ees.

Do you really care if the lady running a register up at a gas station has a good attitude?

To be fair, the state and most of the residents make it pretty easy.
