They sure didnt. Their parents doomed them through their actions and teachings. How many times since this recent conflict started have we seen video of some small child in Ghaza screaming for death to all jews? They dont deserve to die. I also dont think that they one day come to the realization that the fanatical stance and teachings they have been indoctrinated with are wrong on their moral compass. Ghazans/Hamas/Muslim extremists don’t want a world where there are different forms of religion other than their own.

Nobody gives Hamas shite for embedding their soldiers with civilians

While there is room for criticism of some actions that Israel has made, Hamas is ultimately responsible for almost all the civilian deaths there. They poked a bear and then put a bunch of people in between them and the bear who had nothing to do with the poking of the bear.

Brainwashing campaign, mostly.

Mass media, college campuses, and social media are all involved.

There should be no such thing as the Muslim Students Association on ANY college campus in this country. Outlaw them- because they ARE Hamas.

Anyone who rejects the notion that they are doing real damage to our country is a fool.

That's the truth- whether someone disagrees, or not.

Israelis are master media manipulators. Other arab countries would love to attack Israel, but are afraid of US intervention because we are strong allies with Israel. Hamas has gone to extreme terrorism and whining to the world to draw attention and try and get international help. The US is stuck between a rock and hard place by being allies with Israel but also trying to prevent "genocide". Does Israel likely oppress Palestine? Probably. Is Palestine a good neighbor? probably not.

Which leaves only three options:

1. Do nothing, for the sake of the children. This allows Hamas (and other organizations who use the same tactic) to commit atrocities then hide behind their shield.

Anyone with even an ounce of objective sense understands this is a non-starter.

2. Attempt to negotiate with them.

This has been worked on for decades and usually culminates with Hamas, or Hezbollah, or Iran, or whomever launching some sort of strong attack against Israel, Israel giving them the old FAFO and then the world community condemning Israel for a "disproportionate response". After that, negotiations go back and forth until the process starts again.

3. Run roughshod over them.

The goal of war is not to just defeat your enemy, but to insure they are unable to attack you again. Anything less is leaving the door open for future actions from them. After having gone through decades of Option 2, Israel is now at Option 3 while many (who, conveniently, do not live in Israel) are under some bizarre (or anti-Semitic) illusion that Options 1 or 2 should be the only options out there because they live in a fantasy land.

I hate it for the kids of Gaza, but their blood is on their parent’s hands.

Palestine was gifted incedible amounts of humanitarian aid from Israel so they could exist with basic necessities. Israel gave Palestine piping for their irrigation and water systems. Palestine/ Hamas did not install any pipes for water for their citizens. They instead used the pipes to build rockets to fire back and kill Israelis.

How could anyone be pro Hamas/Palestine after how they choose to treat their own?

Bc they’re considered the non-western oppressed brown person in this scenario and liberals fetishize that group

It’s a fricked up situation all around and lots of innocents on both sides have died. I don’t see what’s so wrong about having sympathy for the innocents who are stuck in this situation. They’re held hostage by people who will only accept complete victory or total destruction and death. There’s not much anyone can do about it and it’s hard to not see this ending without the extermination of an entire group of people. Whether this is all right or wrong in tactics and etc is up for debate, but it’s still very sad to see this much killing going on in our world today.

Idiocy. When they aren't prone to killing people because of their religion and sexual orientation and do not force half the population into a subserviant role they will be worth of consideration as humans. That day is a long way off.

The Israeli government is only marginally better. If you are forced to pick a side on morality you gotta go with the Israeli government but only by the slimmest of margins....

They have nowhere to run. There's a perception- not entirely incorrect- that Israel keeps them hemmed in with few places to go and then bombs them relentlessly. This isn't like southern Lebanon where all the civilians could flee, the only safe areas are the "safe zones" Israel tells them to evacuate to and often enough those areas have gotten bombed too.

It's a sad situation that will hopefully end with a deal soon, because if not Israel said they're going in again and plan on occupying the entire strip indefinitely.

It's honestly this. Many/most Jews have light or white skin, the Palestinians mostly have brown skin.

What I think is telling is how few Palestinian refugees countries in the area have taken in. The fact that no one wants them is telling, yet, progressives love the idea of saving them.

Honest question: what do you do when Palestinian (since there is no "Palestine", shouldn't we be calling them just Arabs?) 9 year olds are lobbing hand grenades at you and your fellow service members?

As Hamas is trying to play this game where child deaths garners sympathy for their cause, of COURSE they are going to use the children to this end. Not only by using them as human shields but also as little fighters.

Its pretty simple. People hate Jews for their success, and love brown people as they carry perpetual victimhood by the sheer color of their skin.

The western world is too lazy in their thinking to see the world as anything other than a prescriptive Good (brown people) vs. Evil (Jews). They will do mental gymnastics to make an illegal gangbanger or a black felon drug addict into a saint to preserve their Good vs. Evil formula. In this case, they are defending a terrorist organization who hates the USA and wants to destroy all non-muslim societies.

Perhaps it has always been this way, but its also possible that online social networking is giving us all an insight into how stupid/mentally ill/emotionally unstable the average person is that would not have been obvious to us in our regular social circles.
