Look...I know that is a bizarre thread title but this is weird. If you google Jennifer Katharine Gates all of the images save maybe 1 or 2 (which are of the actual JKG who is...lets just say....well its good the girl is rich) are of Rachel Leigh Cook. Its super weird. But there are tons of profiles for her on numerous websites all using RLC photos.

For some reason a bunch of new websites posted stories today about Bill Gates' daughters extravagant lifestyle with links to now deleted instagram posts. So i went looking into why she deleted everything and stumbled upon this...phenomenon.

Here...check it out

I just tried googling this and it's true. Definitely weird.

ETA: Bing gives the same results.

The use of the pound sign in IRC inspired[10] Chris Messina to propose a similar system to be used on Twitter to tag topics of interest on the microblogging network.[11] He posted the first hashtag on Twitter:

How do you feel about using # (pound) for groups. As in #barcamp [msg]?

The first published use of the term "hash tag" was in a blog post by Stowe Boyd, "Hash Tags = Twitter Groupings,"[17] on August 26, 2007, according to lexicographer Ben Zimmer, chair of the American Dialect Society's New Words Committee.

When it comes to search results it probably doesn't help that Rachel Leigh Cook played an employee at "NURV" (which is basically supposed to be Microsoft) in the 2001 movie Antitrust.
