On a related note..

I had some friends from out of town visit last weekend and they were in awe at the amount of weaves littering the streets of BR.

If I had to put a number on it, but yeah, i'd be okay with that number. Especially when you consider there are probably a handful of black guys who have hair that long in college or NFL.

Why not? Seriously, why not? How many of these guys even wear their dreads out, most keep them under there helmets anyway.

ETA:

Just asked my wife, who is black and has natural dreads, who is very much into natural hair and such, and she just laughed and said that is not even true. So, if you want to you can relay any questions to her.
