Why is it ok for women to obsess over male celebrities on social media?

Women constantly gush over all their favorite male movie characters, TV characters, and musicians on social media. I find it to be kind of strange sometimes. I’m pretty sure if men did this it would be highly frowned upon and people would find it to be quite strange and awkward. Also, their wives would be extremely jealous.I’m just wondering why there’s the double standard.
What is your opinion on this?? Do you find it to be unhealthy and an unfortunate product of our our modern day society with social media? Or do you find it to be pretty harmless?

I used to work in a large office. 2k+ employees. Serious HR department.
There was an older lady that had magazine size posters and calendars of her favorite country singer in her cube. Some shirtless.
Completely bizarre but women get away with things that a man never would in the workplace.
