We are kind and giving people and perhaps the Baton Rougers wanted to share our traffic issues with the rest of the nation.

We drove up to Gatlinburg 3 weeks ago.

My wife and I travel when school is in.

Check in on Sunday afternoon and back home on Friday.

Snowed for 4 or 5 hours on Wed. morning. Rained all night one night. Hit Cades Cove at 12:30. Animals everywhere and maybe a dozen vehicles. Less than 30 minute wait at Pancake Pantry, Log Cabin Rest. in Gatlinburg.

Less than 45 minutes at Apple Barn.

At night, Gatlinburg was a ghost town.

Light show at Anakeesta was interesting.

Headed west in Sept and we have decided to hit Yellowstone area on weekdays since kids will be in school.

I went to Gatlinburg last year during Hell Week and I promise you I will never take my family there again during this week.

People in Louisiana only vacation on the Gulf Coast, Orlando, East Tennessee, or Colorado if they’re a baller.

Because it's cold in Gulf Shores, where they'd otherwise be.

Because Texas needed a break.

It’s the right amount of hours away to drive to see “mountains” and play “Smokey Mountain Rain” by Ronnie Milsap.

Will be playing that tomorrow after the rain tonight when I pull into the Smoky pancake house.
