These techs didn't go to vet school either, they learn on the job.
On top of that, I was there because they don't know how to use their some of their medical equipment. An area in which I have degrees, numerous certifications, and over a decade of experience. So yes, they are idiots that don't know what they are doing.

You could have left out the word "animal" and still been accurate

That was the point of my whole second question

So you know more about equipment because that is your job. And you are there to train them.

They know more about animal health, which is their job.

Your bitchy comment did mot mention that this was either equipment related or that you were there to train.

Btw, your insecurity is showing.

Unless you asked them directly, thats disingenuous to assume. Techs can/do go to school for licenses, some techs are even in vet school, and they also attend CE's as well.

Your ignorance is showing. It's not my job to train them either, but one literally wanted to argue with me about her self inflicted issues with the system.

My comments were more of an observation than anything though. I have systems in 5 different Vet clinics around here and all of them have a lot of blatantly obvious lesbians working as vet techs. I don't care in the least, but a lot of them have serious attitude problems and like to act like they are playing God on peoples cats and dogs.
Again, not all are like that, but definitely enough to see a pattern.

Because years ago there was a huge push to recruit more females and minorities over traditional (male) students for large animal care. It’s turning into a huge disaster as many female large animal practitioners aren’t willing to make the sacrifices necessary to have any longevity in that discipline.

Equine practice isnt for anyone who wants to be a traditional spouse or parent.

Some go to school, but it's well known that not all do. One of my best friends was a vet tech when we were in high school and through college. He never spent a single day in any class that pertained to anything Vet related, and the same was true for the vast majority of the techs he worked with.
I also know someone personally who is a Vet and hires kids to work as techs. They do have some educated techs on staff too though.
I know some of these techs are educated in the field.

Oh the fricking irony

Also, the lesbian part really seems to be bothering you. I promise, even if they were into men, they would not be into you.

If you want people to be able to use equipment properly I would think training them to use it would be important, no?

A vet saved my horse just a few weeks ago. So I’m fine with them “playing god” and stopping a death that otherwise would have happened as god’s will if they weren’t there. I’m sure a lot of other people tend to be happy when their animals are saved too.

I’d bet that had more to do with the types of students they accepted than anything else. They’ve made a point of not accepting students that don’t fit their “non traditional” bias. Its absurd.

You dont need to try and explain to me. Maybe look into the state laws and differences between Techs and Assistants.

And its possible all those female techs that give you attitude do so because you belittle them and probably come across like a dick.

Oh, you got me on a typo from my phone. Good one

Like I stated, it was an observation and simply a question as to why. Is your comprehension lacking? You sure seem butt hurt over an observation and the fact that I pointed out some attitude issues.

Excuse me, MBP…

This man has various certifications and degrees. He clearly does not need to look into anything else in life.

He is, in fact, the know it all he’s projecting his displeasure about.

I’m sure he does treat them like a (small) dick. That’s what I get from everything he posts.

You’re real good at the attempted uno reverse card.

Doesn’t work when people notice, though.

You are definitely coming across as the butt hurt one.

Anything is possible, doesn't mean it's true though.
At no point did anything remotely close to what you're suggesting here happen.
In fact, in this scenario, the Dr was involved as well and thanked me immensely.

I think this is more of a situation that you personally are experiencing.

Based on my experience, this is not specific to the industry even with a very high ratio of women that work in the field.

Explain this please

I’ve only used country/mixed large and small animal vets. They treat the dog (I don’t own cats) like an animal, not a child. They are pretty straight to the point and usually cheaper as well.
