Why haven't diesel prices fallen at the same rate as gas prices?

Someone explain it to me like I am 5

Diesel was around $1.40 more per gallon when I looked yesterday. Prices are dropping way slower than gas prices. Why?

It’s all part of their plan.

Less used at the consumer level, so it's a slower progression down. The stations don't fill their tanks as often as their gas ones.

Yea but even at the large truck stops where Diesel is cycled through very fast, it is still high.

That's what the cabal wants. It's all about power and control. Follow the money.

Its around $4.40 here and gas is below $3 now

I can just drive my Jeep more and park the F250 and truck nuts for now I guess.

I can find it for $4.39 if I look around but it's not usually worth my time. I do see it around $4.59 more often.

Hasn't it always been this way? The prices typically track together but not perfectly.

Are you suggesting that there's more to it than supply and demand?

They rise together nearly in unison. Seems like they should drop together the same.

I am not suggesting anything. I genuinely don't understand it. Is it a production issue? Is demand for diesel higher than gas currently?

Poorly executed, tbh. Go take a lap and then edit it.

Couple reasons:

We are getting less sour crude from Saudi and none from Venezuela. Our refineries, generally, are more efficient at making diesel from those cheaper grades of oil. So they pay more for lighter oil, but get less diesel per barrel.

That is why we were buying russian oil before the sanctions.

Also, these refineries have been investing in Biodiesel. For every dollar invested in biodiesel, you get less diesel, but the refineries make more money with the credits, so the money is flowing there. Making money but not really increasing capacity.

all the extra processing it needs because of environmental regulations

then you have more environmental regulations on the vehicles that kill gas milage
