India has almost as many people as China with higher density cities and even worse hygienic standards. Also, Indians are everywhere. Despite this, I dont think I've ever heard of a pandemic originating from there.

They don’t eat really random meat and have those giant wet markets. Plenty are vegetarian and even the ones that aren’t don’t eat meat that often.

I'm just bullshitting, but having a huge population that is vegetarian and another group that doesn't eat pork probably helps with all that animal to animal transmission issue unlike China which eats anything and everything.

Because most of them can’t afford to travel anywhere.

While that’s true, you will still find a sizelable Indian population in pretty much every country. Plus with the massive population, even if 5% of the country travels frequently, that’s still 65M people.

India's medical system is inferior to ours and can't test as many people.
