The only thing that would made it worse was if he had a mobile reloader in the truck and had to insert the primer, pour in the powder and seat the projectile to have a functioning bullet.

i don't like them and i don't enjoy shooting. i'm a good shot and extremely pro 2A, but they're just not my thing.
Comfort level has a lot to do with it.
I grew up with guns viewed as tools. A tool can be dangerous if used incorrectly.

This new urban communism pretty much requires you be able to defend yourself.

i grew up in a cotton field in Wall, Texas. we went to school with guns in our cars in the 80s and 90s. comfort isn't the issue.

I have a Taurus snubnose and I can’t hit shite with it. Just so uncomfortable in my hand. Had to swap it for a Hellcat.

IR is your friend. Red light at the very least.

I like the way you think. Similar set up, can cover both entry ways from a spot no one would look without knowing the layout.

And if it is an innocent person, you just committed a felony by pointing a loaded gun at them.
It sure hurts those around you.

I suck with a handgun. Used to carry a S&W500 for bear protection, but I don't think the bears were worried a bit.
Think I got the yips with a 44 mag when I was a teen.

Biometric pistol safe / digital gun safe with a loaded weapon inside is the way to go to balance safety and readiness.

If the right phrase is spoken, my google home cuts all lights for tenish seconds and then starts strobing almost every light in the house and plays Bersirkir from every speaker at full volume. They gave up every chance of a fair fight the second they entered illegally. Vepr12 loaded with no4 buck. Farthest shot distance possible is 42ish feet. Coming from the master bedroom, I have an 18inch thick brick archway to use as cover to clear living room, dining, kitchen, and breakfast.
Damn, that is awesome. You win.
edited to add that I had to google what Bersirkir was. I’m old.

The “it’s a mag not a clip” starter kit;
Be 5’2 350 lbs
Buy a glock 19 to CC but leave it in the truck to get stolen cause it rubs your gut
Own 1 ar and 14 pmags you paid double for during a run
Always be telling people about the sp5 you’re bout to buy

Not good enough.
G17 within arms reach. 3-5 steps away from a loaded AR15 with my carry pistols sitting in the top of my closet that is a couple more steps away.
I am at home today, the tools are close.
