Just in general, like, there’s no good reason why a lot of stuff shouldn’t be fully public. Especially with certain items that are not of a competitive nature.

Good idea. Elect me and I’ll get around to that after I take care of some unrelated business.

By "organizations" do you mean privately held companies, publicly held companies, governmental entities, non-profit organizations or what?

See what happens when we have transparency. Look at the USA today. Everybody is all pissed off today and we only know a small percentage of what's really out there.

And you've got the same rights as the OP. I love some peoples' blindness to how arrogant they are. "I want to know and have everything you know and have", How bout this mfer, get a job. Everyone wants to "get" but don't think about who's giving and how they "got"

Now having said that, I must mention that I'm a white man so I basically have been shitting gold bricks and haven't had to abide by any laws for a few generations now...

Now if we could just get everyone to...

walk around with tracking devices in their pockets

bug their own houses with devices that can record their conversations and send them out as emails

and convince them to divulge all their personal business online

we could really get to the bottom of some things.

You may not be shitting bricks, but you are as dumb as one.

None of that shite has anything to so with what the OP said. It's just your eternal need to be offended.

We have the First Amendment to protect a free press, which does demand transparency on our behalf. But cable television warps that effort with too much opinion. As a result the organizations (particularly powerful ones like the government and elected officials) decry that effort and too many people believe their protestations.
Basically, real journalists do demand transparency and more people should appreciate their efforts.
