I saw a chipmunk humping a squirrel once or maybe it was just hugging it from behind. I didn't linger too long.

The way you baws are skeptical about Bigfoot I find it funny y'all believe in these little guys. I don't think I've seen a chipmunk since the hunting scene in ole yeller. I mean frick. Where's the proof!?

They're all over our deer lease in St Francisville.

I used to hunt near St. Francisville. Pretty much saw them any time I hunted in the hardwoods.

Lots of them in the Tunica Hills in the Feliciana parishes. When I was a kid and would go squirrel hunting I shot a few of them thinking they were squirrels.

They prefer a slightly cooler climate

Also as chipmunks are burrowing little bastards the muddy swampy LA terrain makes for terrible burrows

Chipmunks are common in the Tunica Hills/Lake Rosemound area of Louisiana north of St. Francisville.

They only live in a small portion of Louisiana, primarily the Felicianas. There are a number of species of wildlife and plants that only occur in that part of Louisiana. The geologic formation is very unique, giving rise to this. There is a species of squirrel that only occurs there as well. Tunica Hills WMA is the "stronghold" of these unique species.

We're overrun with them in N.E. AL.

They have a tunnel system under my driveway.
