1. Several cars today have no jack or spare, and no one considered it a problem.

2. 99% of female drivers will never change a tire themselves even if they know how.

3. 60% of the guys under 35 don't know how to change a tire half of the rest will call road service.

4. How many flats does the average person have in a life time, I have had maybe 3 in 45 years of driving.

Considering the above, built in jacks would never be a selling point, and manufacturers don't put things on cars unless it will return their investment in sales.

shite is used in race cars. Weight is obviously not an issue.

As far as I know, even F1 doesn't have integrated jacks. They've got a front and a rear jackman.
See them in action

How much would you be willing to pay for that feature?

The only time I've ever jacked up my truck is to change a tire.

Weight? :casty"

Cost is the correct answer. How many times do people actually use the jack in their vehicle? No enough to justify the expense.

And yes many race cars use on board pneumatic jacks, but there is no power source on the car.

Can you imagine a jack faulting while the car is driving down the interstate? Dragging a metal spike or catching a pot hole?

Can someone explain why a car would need to be jacked up on all 4 corners?

because adding cost while increasing liability and risk is not a very good business plan.

On race cars and hypercars it's to change tires quickly and more easily make tweaks to the suspension and brake settings.

tire rotation? I do the X pattern rotation on my Jeep.
Note: I think OPs idea is retarded. Just answering this question.

A race car is very light weight and low to the ground. Any jacks used on a passenger vehicle would have to be far larger to accommodate the greater ground clearance and weight. LeMans and indy also require an external source of air to operate the jacks which would have to be built into the passenger vehicle. RV style jacks are spring folding to be able to compensate for the clearance, but they also have airbags to dump to help decrease that distance. An RV also has room in the undercarriage for a 40" flat-screen, 10 folding chairs, a couple of over priced bundles of firewood and 800 gallons of turds that your average Accord does not.

It would add weight and reduce mileage.

Estimate the cost of design and development of your feature.
Estimate cost to add computers to assembly line.
Estimate cost of materials and final cost of feature.

5-600 dollars?

once you've battled one of those tiny scissor jacks on the side of the interstate 5-600 dollars sounds like a bargain.

This is the first thing that came to mind. Jim Bob is going to sue the frick out of Ford when the jack on his mustang fails and the piece of shite falls on his face.

maybe not at one time but, over time it could be necessary to jack up each corner if you get a flat.

Wtf? Why settle for hydraulic. Why not some anti-gravity levitation system? For that matter, get rid of the wheels all together and let's move on to all hover crafts!
