Why don’t all credit card transactions email only receipts?

Kind of sad to think of the wasted paper

Or print a really small QR code of the transaction. Still a savings

On one hand I agree with you but on the other hand your inbox would be flooded with receipts.

Paper is both biodegradable and renewable. You shouldn't be concerned with wasted paper.

This......also more than affordable. And I don't want every single place I do business to have access to my email address.

1. What do you bring with you when you take the $75 tool you just bought back to Lowes/Home Depot after opening it up and discovering it's missing a key part like the blade or the power cord?

2. Collect all the paper receipts, give them to the wife who tracks all that baloney and balances the books.

I mean, Lowes can look up the purchase if you had the receipt emailed.

Wasn’t there a post on TD about Home Depot only accepting returns with a printed receipt?

The idea that paper is "wasted" is really the result of brainwashing.

It's an agricultural crop.

Hey gramps, 1973 called, they want your notebooks back...

There's a high probability I'm going to lose the paper receipt, yet, if it's an e-mail / stored online somewhere, I can easily pull it up.

Might not work on your flip phone, though, old man.

Why do businesses still use merchant services at banks for their credit card services? Prices are insane and benefits are none.

My A/C started making a weird noise a few days ago. My a/c guy accepts square. Has it on his phone. It sent me a receipt.

I used to have to do this for business travel reimbursement. I didn't call it a scrap book but that's essentially what it was.

Square is a "merchant service"

Credit card merchant providers charge by volume. Square is cheaper for small companies, which is who it's made for. Bigger companies get much better rates for other providers.
