This would be a big tourist attraction. Half the albino gators were from Louisiana ( one in O'lando). BR could develop one near bluebonnet.
the Orlando one has rides, zip lining, even panthers.

Because Beaumont cornered the market first.

Being an old guy I remember the old World Famous Snake Farm on Airline in Laplace. Had lots of crazy stuff including a spitting gorilla. Huge python was at the bottom of a well type structure for folks to see and had water exhibits with gators too. Went out of business in the 80's I think after being opened back in the 40's or 50's

because we don't think our food should be displayed as a tourist attraction

I remember that place, begged my Dad to stop there every time we passed it, one time he relented, my sisters wouldn't even get out of the car, I'd probably be scared to go in there today, they had all of these weird, mutant, poisonous snakes in there in what looked like tiny, cheap little pet cages/terrariums that you'd buy at five and dime stores, place was filthy, I thought it was cool when I was a little kid though

Yes. They are our primary modes of transport, source of nutrition, and clothes.
Opening a gatorland in Louisiana would be like opening a park in which air was the primary draw.

I really want to stop there one day. Pass it all the time. Always looks closed, but then you see a hand full of cars in the parking lot.

Me too. Never been, but every time I go by I think about how I should stop. I'm usually short on time though.

Tourists aren't flocking to Louisiana.
