It’s absurd that they can’t take 10 seconds to verify the address. I could pull up Apple maps and the destination will auto fill with the street name and address.

It's absurd you couldn't take 10 seconds to check that your delivery address was correct when you filled out the form.

That's on you, not them.

My local branch where my PO Box is located has been down all week with no ability to take packages because their network is down.

I can give you an example of why the postal service sucks but I don’t want to get banned. Go visit the post office in Gonzales, Louisiana and get back with me.

I didn't miss your point. It's just a shitty point.

You fricked up, and don't want to take the blame for it. So you are trying to put the blame on people who did exactly what their job requires them to do.

I ship 50-100 packages per week. Trust me. In the end, USPS is far superior to UPS.. I have way less issues with them.

UPS is going to damage your package, 25% of the time

And if sending the package back to the sender is what their job requires them to do when the whole address is correct outside of 1 digit in the zip code then it’s a shitty system.

I guess we both have shitty points, congrats

They are terrible, but I can’t think of any other delivery service that’s much better

You're getting downvoted so someone needs to tell me who is much better?

FedEx seems objectively to be the worst, and I've had just as many problems with UPS as I have with USPS.

Here is a math question for all of the USPS detractors. In 2022, the USPS handled 127.3 BILLION pieces of mail. See the link below.

Nothing handled by humans and even computers is 100% perfect. What is your acceptable error rate? Now do the 5th grade math without a calculator.

Just admit to us that you don't know what a zipcode is and then go research why one digit would cause a problem.

The best part is that the error in his situation was on his part, not the USPS.

His error is acceptable to him, but their following procedure and not making an error is not acceptable.

My local USPS is good. I found that if a package is with them around the Great Lakes states, it'll be delayed.
FedEX is the absolute worst where I live. Delayed delivery and dropping packages are the norm.

You are expecting them to fix your mistake. What if in trying to decipher your mistake they send it to an address that is a logical version of the incorrect address but it is also incorrect and your package disappears and they simply throw your two dildos in the trash?

From a business standpoint returning to sender is the most logical thing to do. It puts the consequences on the person that made the mistake. Personal responsibility and all that jazz. You wanted them to hold the item but that is a burden on a business and how long should they be expected to hold it? If you say 7 days someone else will complain because they went in on the 8th day.

At the very bottom of this pile you are expecting someone else to waste time and effort trying to fix your mistake and you are saying they suck when you made the mistake. By your logic you suck.
