Mobile: “the city people drive through to get to Florida and New Orleans”

Have to admit, when you consider the fact that it actually is on the beach with the proximity of mobile to both Florida and New Orleans, it seems like a pretty appealing spot to live.

Why do New Orleanians always say their mountains are so great? They dont. Just like nobody from Mobile has ever talked about living on a beach. Up next on the news, why Baton Rouge thinks their city is almost too safe...

Mobile can't even see a beach with a telescope.. LMAO! I'm pretty sure it's high up on the trashy arse city scale with Montgomery and Baton Rouge. Places there is just no desire to go.

They could clean that shite up too; if it weren't for the liberal fricks keeping cities poor and unbearable.

This entire discussion is so dumb. The municipal boundaries of the City of Mobile are within an hour of the beach. Mobile County has beaches on the Gulf.

No one gets this upset that the New York Giants play in New Jersey, or that Disney isn’t in Orlando.

You realize the Mobile TV market includes the AL gulf coast and Pensacola/Ft. Walton?

Yeah, and if I woke up and watched that shite everyday, I'd go into depression. COPS does't have shite on WEAR nor WKRG - It's like watching death stats rise by the day.

And don't forget, it's also where we got this Jewel- The Leprechaun!

I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone here who thinks that. This city is as meh as it gets.

Yep, and there’s a few more smaller beaches other than DI, but I assume that’s what the advertisement is referring to

such a shithole place. They want to be a pretend big city and try to attract people by saying that Mobile is on the beach

The insecurity in New Orleans and Louisiana is strong. And for good reason.

All joking aside, I think this is true. Not universally but generally.

It carries over to LSU fans.

Not sure if we want to be accepted or right though.

Born raised in Fairhope and is where I currently reside. I've never made that claim. When people ask where Fairhope is, I usually say across the bay from Mobile and or about 30-40 from GS/ OB

Downtown Mobile to Dauphin Island is maybe 30 min

Via ferry, and that’s if you catch it exactly when you pull up
