Corn dogs from Sonic. If I were a James Beard Award voter, they would get 1st place in the meat in tube form category.

Why do we not crave broccoli and brussel sprouts

because broccoli and brussel sprouts have almost no food value and couldn't really sustain life by themselves...

Wings aren't bad...

But there are some steaks, poultry, and pork that I'd turn down Pizza, ice cream, and junk for 10/10 times. I think the taste thing is mostly personal preference.

You have the same ratio of working out as you do of eating healthy.

Evil food scientists

I went into the store to get my favorite cookies. They were really addictive!

The wrapper was changed and now read: "New! Improved formula".

I would have preferred an improved recipe.

Thanks to capitalism and advances in technology, we are able to mass produce these foods. However, the evolution of the human species has not caught up with the increased accessibility we have to these foods. As a result, we have fat people.

If I'm not mistaken, I think I recently saw a commercial where McDonald's was touting the fact that they are using real chicken in the chicken mcnuggets now. How many decades have those been on the market? lulz

I like fettuccine. I want my arteries to be battle-tested for when I'm older.

My doctor tried to put me on a diet to lose weight.

I said I did not understand carbs and proteins and all that. I asked if he had some simple rules to eating healthy.

He said: Put the food in your mouth and if it tastes good, spit it out!

I found a fat doctor.

Because it actually IS good for you and because of that, we are evolutionarily programmed to like it. The problem is that it's TOO good for you.

When we were evolving, food was frequently scarce, so high-calorie, high-fat, high-carb food was precious and absolutely necessary for survival. Putting on weight was a rare blessing that might just get you through the next period of starvation. Getting too much food and becoming too fat was practically never a problem.

But in modern times, we've mostly eliminated starvation as a threat, so those same foods that were crucial for survival throughout 99% of our evolution are no longer necessary, but we still like them. As with anything done to excess, eating too much of these nutrient-rich foods is bad for us, but we have no built-in evolutionary tool to limit how much of it we eat because having too much has never been a problem that evolution needed to fix.

So, in order to limit consumption of these foods to healthy levels, we have to use our brains and overcome our instinct to eat as much as we can (which was important to do until very recently, in evolutionary terms). Most of us manage to do it, but a large percentage are less successful. In some cultures even today, obesity is considered a sign of good health, and most people don't even make an effort to limit consumption of high-fat, high-calorie, high-carb foods.
