A lot of modern country is extremely uncreative, which makes it as bad, imo.

IIRC he spent a night in the Starkville jail in 1964

There may have been other nights in jail but no prison terms

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries quotes Notorious B.I.G. during Trump impeachment trial
quote:

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) took a line from Notorious B.I.G. on Tuesday when responding to a question from Jay Sekulow, an attorney on President Trump’s impeachment defense team, who asked, “Why are we here?”

“We are here, sir, because President Trump pressured a foreign government to target an American citizen for political and personal gain,” the New York Democrat responded, adding, “We are here, sir, because President Trump solicited foreign interference in the 2020 election and corrupted our democracy.”

“And we are here, sir, to follow the facts, follow the law, be guided by the Constitution, and present the truth to the American people. That is why we are here, Mr. Sekulow. If you don’t know, now you know,” Jeffries said, closing with a line from the rap icon’s 1994 smash hit “Juicy.”
quote:

Tuesday was not the first time Jeffries had paid tribute to Biggie on the House floor.

The congressman honored the rap legend in August 2017 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his death.

“We know he went from negative to positive and emerged as one of the world’s most important hip-hop stars. His rags-to-riches life story is the classic embodiment of the American dream. Biggie Smalls is gone but he will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Notorious B.I.G., where Brooklyn at?” Jeffries said.

It doesn't take clairvoyance to foresee the death of a rapper. What would be extraordinary is one who predicts living to old age.

Would have been pretty hilarious to hear Ice Cube rapping about becoming a star of family movies back in his NWA days.

I like big butts and I can not lie
You other brothers can't deny
That when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist
And a round thing in your face
You get sprung
Wanna pull up tough
Cuz you notice that butt was stuffed
Deep in the jeans she's wearing
I'm hooked and I can't stop staring
Oh, baby I wanna get with ya
And take your picture
My homeboys tried to warn me
But that butt you got
Make Me so horney
Ooh, rump of smooth skin
You say you wanna get in my benz
Well use me use me cuz you aint that average groupy
