You can't just rely on stars, you have to read through a good number of the reviews. Between the paid reviews and the idiots that review things they've never even bought, there's a lot of noise to sift through.

It sounds more like the users of Amazon are who you have a problem with. Apparently, people who buy sheets on Amazon prefer cheap to good, hence the high rating for cheap sheets.
What makes Amazon great is that they will probably refund you and pay for return shipping so you can get something else.

Amazon is seriously of the single best companies. I order all the time from them. I have yet to be disappointed. The few times I had issues, their customer service took care of it in a matter of minutes. Not liking Amazon is like a child hating Disney World.

I enjoy Amazon. I get gift cards from my Chase credit card points so that I have not actually used any of my money to buy anything off of Amazon in years.

That's not the answer. The answer is, great sheets cost more than $21 and if you dont know that youre an idiot.
Go around the internet looking for great sheets then check amazon for the product if you need to do it that way.

nope.
longevity is a key to this process, most will start pilling right away and what feels good brand new wont last.
i've actually found very good sheets but they're not at amazon or in retail stores.
they're at llbean.
i would have never found them by using amazon.
