To be honest beejon, I mostly drink bc I like the taste of beer and vodka drinks. Beer to me is nice and refreshing after a long day at work, or if I'm out in the boat fishing, in the woods working or after cutting the grass. I like a little wine with my steak, beer with my crawfish and a vodka drink at night while watching a movie or just chilling in the backyard. There is no "reason" why I drink except for the fact that I can and I don't have justify it. It's a simple pleasure and that's just it.

Lots of interesting responses but little facing of the reasons folks get drunk and/or high. What is it about reality that you cannot cope with it and need drugs to alter your perception into a false reality? In other words, why do you need to lie to yourself?
