Heard a saying a while back and it kind of rings true.
Women marry men thinking they will change, but they don’t.
Men marry women thinking they won’t change, but they do.

Women evolve as they age and go through phases, maybe even change personalities completely.
Men for the most part may take up different hobbies and such. But their beliefs, personality, values, etc rarely change once an adult.

Embrace the suck. The guy will always be wrong, so just accept it.

What if your woman does this along with you? Asking for a friend.

Enjoying Broadway musicals is a stereotypically homosexual pastime. What do you like about them?

Personally, I like the music, the sets, and the live shows. I like seeing people acting in real time and rolling with screw ups to adapt. I enjoy a good story with s happy ending, even if it’s a little sappy.

Also, avoiding something you enjoy because some other guy associates it with being “gay” is silly. Why would you care that much about what other men think? Enjoy what you like.

I don’t love every broadway style show (a man has his limits and standards after all), but I’m man enough to admit that I enjoy a fun musical every once in a while.

This has so much explanatory power. Were you a theatre kid in high school?

Surprisingly no, but I probably should have been. I didn’t have enough time for it the way my schedule, work, and extra-curriculars were set up. I was a band nerd then and still play music semi-professionally. I don’t feel like there’s really that huge of a gap between performing music on stage in a band setting and performing musicals on stage in a theatre. To this day, most of my exes were theater geek girls.

The dedication to the craft for me.

Wildly impressive what those people are able to do live.

I was guilty of this last week. Went to a party solely to make the wife happy. I had sex afterwards, so it was worth.

Because she feels the exact same, but has sex with you anyway.

Got to pick your battles and part of being a partner and companion is doing some things you would rather not. If you do commit to doing something though, don't ruin it for others. For everything else there is this common exchange:

Her: Do this thing you really don't want to do.

Me: No thanks.

Her: *reacts emotionally*

Me. File your papers if its a deal breaker.

Her: *does not file papers*

And life goes on.

Going to the Saenger tonight. When my wife said “ let’s do something fun” this week, a musical was the last thing on my mind.

Better lead to what WAS on my mind.

I may have a lil gay, but I like shite like that sometimes. But three hours my wife would insist I sneak a flask in. We fight, but are on the same page about important shite.
