I learnt a long time ago the exact opposite of your statement can be true as well.
So you've actually contributed what here?

To the OP: Sorry you're conscious of your weight. Too much rice?

I'm glad I'm not a fatty.

First of all, I was responding to Breesus.
And I'm simply making the point that fat people aren't the only ones who display a lack of self restraint, are weak minded, and irresponsible...lots of skinny people are too.
Or is that fact too obtuse for you?

learnt

Oh, and its "learned" not "learnt" . So what exactly have you contributed here, except your inability to grasp the English language?

Gluttony is cut and dry disdainful behavior. Simple as that.

Well folks, you can take your stereotypes and shove 'em right up your arses.

I'm what you call....fat. A real lard arse.
I'm not poor, not rich, but in comparison to most of you, I'm well off.
I'm very successful professionally and will be graduating with a B.S. in business in May. So I hold a full time high pressure job and am attending school full time.
I drive one of the biggest production vehicles every made - so not a little car driver.
I'm also a full-time dad. I have 4 kiddo's, 2 being under 3. My oldest, 16, achieved a 29 on his ACT in 10th grade and my 7th grader has only had A's her entire school life.
And for s&g's, my wife(2nd) is 10 years my junior, a former gymnast, a size 4 and absolutely beautiful.

I can sense you thought this an empowering rant, but not only did you fail to invalidate the stereotypes you fit as a fatty, you actually gave insight into layers on top of layers of how your not just fat, but also a totally unimpressive self-praising loser.

I don't hate fat people, I used to be obese. What I hate are the fat people who blame everyone and everything for making them fat before they place any blame on themselves.

Although neither of us know, I would disagree with your conclusion. I think women are "into slightly overweight" guys because of that female insecurity thing.

It is easier for them to feel comfortable getting naked with a dude that isn't bowed up and rocking a 6 pack.

yur oficcaly publically stoopit-

Learned vs Learnt

"These are alternative forms of the past tense and past participle of the verb learn. Both are acceptable, but learned is often used in both British English and American English, while learnt is much more common in British English than in American English."

Oxford Dictionary Link

tl/dr: You should read more & post less.

They represent one (or more) of the 7 deadly sins!

Why do we as a society have a deep disdain even a hatred for fat people by OWLFAN86

We envy the lack of pride, the uncontrollable and indulgent nature that they live and we hold in resentment because we (we = healthy people) feel obligated to maintain an acceptable level of health. I want to eat mac and cheese every single day and I really love the way that donuts taste in the morning but I refrain because I don't want to be a fat frick. We see other people that have no self control and a sense of jealousy arises because we feel trapped by our own and societies standard for what is an acceptable level of health and basic self respect. We secretly all want to be indulgent fat fricks but our conscience and our ego don't allow us to without guilt. When it's time to indulge (every weekend for me), we literally have to have an internal mini conversation with ourself to make sure it's alright to eat 7 cookies, 3 bowls of gumbo, and drink 13 beers in one night.

You're missing the point. It has nothing to do with beauty standards and everything to do with healthy choices for the most part. I say for the most part since certainly their are people with obesity genetic disposition.

Beauty being subjective, is it even possible to have a wrong standard of beauty?

Myself, I find Sandra Bullock to be plain and unappealing. I loathe the heroin chic look and the bony supermodel look. Just not my thing. But it is many other people's thing.

And what is the line of "fat"? If we are still calling Kate Upton "fat", then sign me up as a fatty liver.

Because it's usually a choice. I say usually, because I'm not ignorant to the fact that medical conditions do exist. My mother had many issues with hypothyroidism that caused her weight to fluctuate dramatically. I realize that some people can't help it. But those aren't the disgusting obese people making facebook videos of them shoving 47 marshmallows in their mouth at once. They're choosing to not give a shite - and I have a very big problem with someone that has complete control over something that they are just too lazy to get a grip on. I've lost 53 pounds in the last year (hold the applause), and after losing that weight, I looked back on the habits and lifestyles that dictated my weight - I was absolutely disgusted. I was eating garbage and not exercising one bit. Now that I'm back to a normal 6'-0" / 200# body, I realize that there wasn't an excuse. All they have to do is spend the time to exercise a little more everyday than the day before, to exhibit self-control when it comes to portions or food selection. It's not that hard. They're just lazy and would rather play the victim card as mentioned above than to get a grip on their own lives and ultimately take responsibility. That's the key - you have to take responsibility for what you've become before you can get remotely close to fixing it (the whole "first step is admitting you have a problem" spiel)

It's the same reason we tend to not like drug addicts , it shows a lack of self control
