Why do viruses have patents?

The Chinese Government? I’m not talking about the citizens of China that the Chinese government kills and most people don’t blink an eye. I’m talking about the millions around the world, the same government killed with a virus and half the people in this country would call me some type of made up names for simply telling the truth.

I read the case argument as it was a man-made living organism, which would categorize it as synthetic, yeah? They just included it, along with naturally made organisms, as matter.
