My first thought as well, we keep tortillas in stock in my house.

So you use less filling per shell and have to buy more shells.

Would you just sit at a table eating whole tortillas?

Someone has clearly not had hot H-E-B tortillas, because yes, yes I would.

Do yall ever think about how we'll eat a whole basket of tortilla chips...

And 4 tortilla chips equal a tortilla?

Yes, we'll go through a few baskets before our food is served and wonder why we're already full. Surly it's not because we ate about 47 tortillas a piece before the food got there. Unfortunately, we do this every time!

It’s funny when you think about it because hard tacos suck as a delivery system but we all just accepted it for YEARS, just awkwardly tried to clump together the pieces in our mouths.

325 for 6 minutes

We have a small wall oven, house was built in the late 60s. It seems to stay hot longer than larger ovens, so I preheat it to 375, then turn it off when I stick the taco shells in. 6-7 minutes and they're warmed up and slightly pliable at the bottom. Gently pry it apart to fill it and then gently squeeze it back tight. Everyone loves a tight taco.

Why do toaster settings go up to number 10 when bread burns on number 4?

Because some people just want to watch the world burn.

We keep a supply of soft shells and make our own double deckers by spreading refried beans on them and wrapping it around the hard shells.

I bet you’ve never eaten a real taco. Probably piss yourself trying. Bet you’ve eaten hotdogs however.

These replies crack me up re: super quick meals

Make your own hard taco shells might be the best one yet

I still like crunchy tacos. I use stand up shells.

Smash that bastard up into a bowl, put the stuff you would have put on the taco in the bowl, eat with fork.

The answer is to just stick them in the oven to make them crispy then smash them up into a taco salad. Delicious and don’t have to worry about crushing your taco and get to add as many toppings as you want instead of having to be sparse

Someone invented that already and named it “nachos”.

I like tacos, but every plate seems to turn into nachos at some point.
