Children who don't come from a stable traditional family model are generally frick ups.

Both of my children were born out of wedlock and were surprises. I love them as much as any man can love a child. It doesn't matter when their mother and I were married in my opinion.
but you eventually married thier mother and made it right

so the piece of paper saying you're married magically makes things perfect?

People who wait to get married before having children are generally the type of people who are better suited to be parents.

Then there is literally no winning other than preaching (and practicing, since you're not a hypocrite) complete abstinence before marriage.

Me and my "baby momma" aren't together any longer. 7.5 years, two kids, NO MARRIAGE, and the kids? They're fricking awesome

I was both an "oops" baby and born out of wedlock. My parents then got married and divorced 14 years later.

If they live together and raise the child together through adulthood thats fine too
eta: but this isn't very common with kids born out of wedlock

how is your relationship with the baby momma?
fwiw, i took the op to mean the saying congrats to an unwed teen who got knocked up.
i didn't take it to mean getting pregnant while in a committed realtionship of many years if there is intent to marry.
and yes, i think you should be married before planning to have kids.

Did I say always? No, I didn't. Learn reading comprehension. Did you come from a broken home? That could explain the deficiency.
