Me and my "baby momma" aren't together any longer. 7.5 years, two kids, NO MARRIAGE, and the kids? They're fricking awesome

I was both an "oops" baby and born out of wedlock. My parents then got married and divorced 14 years later.

If they live together and raise the child together through adulthood thats fine too

eta: but this isn't very common with kids born out of wedlock

how is your relationship with the baby momma?

fwiw, i took the op to mean the saying congrats to an unwed teen who got knocked up.

i didn't take it to mean getting pregnant while in a committed realtionship of many years if there is intent to marry.

and yes, i think you should be married before planning to have kids.

Did I say always? No, I didn't. Learn reading comprehension. Did you come from a broken home? That could explain the deficiency.

I have multiple college degrees as do my sister and her partner (the father of her children). (They both are architects with Master's Degrees if you must know).

Just because people in a relationship choose not to get married does not make then trash you ignorant frick.
