I guess you people really do not know many folks that live in the country. Most have small gardens at least where I grew up.

i expect these $ stores to get a bad rap on here because going to one in a ity like Br is not the same as the DG Market that's down the hwy from me.
this can't be said enough. The one near our house is clean, stocked, and usually has 3 workers at a time.

If you ask me they should only focus on the boonies. Close all the stores in the cities because nobody buys there. They have a monopoly on small towns and rural areas. Embrace it.

Same. There are some rural locations around which are clean, nice and staffed. Perfect place for a quick in and out. I like them.

Most country folks do not need access to fresh vegetables, they grow them, that is why Dollar General does not carry them. Nothing wrong with Dollar General.

There are plenty of Dollar Generals that carry fresh produce

DG does carry 'fresh' vegetables.

And it's just po folks who shop there. I'm not a OT Baller but I do ok. And we shop there.

The key is knowing which DG's to avoid.

Yall are missing out if you aren't using their coupon app. Their $5 off $25 Saturday deals paired with other coupons on their app gets me out of there for $10 - 12 with plenty of essential items that don't go bad

I noticed last weekend they had a $10 off $40 and also one that if you make 3 $25 purchases (after all coupons and before tax) within the month you will get a $20 off $20.01 or more purchase.

So if you started last weekend with the $10 off $40 and use the next 2 $5 off coupons you could do the following not counting the other coupons:

Buy $40 get it for $30
Buy $30 get it for $25
Buy $30 get it for $25

Then go in and get $20 for free.

So spend $80 and get $120 worth of merchandise also noting that coupons can be stacked. That is 33% off not counting other coupons on almost everything in the store (they limit tobacco, phone/cards, gift cards, propane, and maybe a couple of other things.

I have noticed if you take the time using apps you can get DG and a lot of fast food under/at/very close to pre-Covid pricing. This sets up a situation where they make more profit on people that aren't willing to spend the time and still make a profit on those that do take the time.

I have never been a coupon clipper but apps make it so easy and I feel like I am gettin' over on the man.
