That's the only place they could possibly annoy you. Did you get caught up in open house traffic?

It seems like most people who try to sell their home themselves eventually gets a realtor. They are in communication with people who are looking for a new home and with people who are selling their house.. So I wouldn't say it's "useless".

They do serve a purpose, but it's ridiculous to pay $15,000 for them to peddle a decent priced house.
Especially considering they'd make about $5000 for a cheap house, which is probably harder to actually sell.

They facilitate the sale if you’re selling a house.

They facilitate a sale if you’re purchasing a house.

They market and show your house free of charge to potential buyers.

They only get paid if they sell your house.

I don’t see what the problem is.

Of course I can sell my own house without a realtor, but they take the hassel out of it and if they bring a buyer and does all the work then IMO they’ve earned their 6%.

But it’s also for lonely wealthy housewives that don’t necessarily need the money but it’s mailbox money for them to buy more worthless shite and keep up with their other pretentious group of friends.
