Doesn't Medicare or other programs provide dental care for them?

This is a serious question.

Medicaid usually only provides for the same regular cleanings that your OT baller insurance covers. Everything else is considered cosmetic or needs tedious authorization.

I see people are saying no so I guess it doesn't and if they are poor they can't afford to go to the dentist.

People can drive to NOLA and go to the dental school. If you will let students work on your teeth you pay a lot less than at a regular dentist.

I asked specifically about Louisiana because care varies by state, at least in my understanding.

I went to a friend's funeral in a small town this weekend and was taken aback by amount of people missing teeth.

It was an eye opener and made me sad.

And I'm telling you that if you go to a funeral in a small town in any state you'd see a lot of the same.

no, medicare does not cover dentistry, as far as I know.

also, I travel around a good bit and I don't see any greater prevalence of bad teeth in LA than I do anywhere else.
