Why do people still wear masks?

Watching uk game at rupp arena earlier and LSU usc now.
Few idiots scattered about still rocking useless face guards.
Some stupid fat frick at LSU game was coutside with a fricking bandanna wrapped around his fat face
I think it’s a political statement more so than for health reasons.
I’d like to ask these people why.

As said, for one of the groups it's a political statement, in that they are scared to death of someone thinking they might be a Trump supporter. The other group are women with pretty eyes but are insecure about their nose or mouth, so they continue to wear the mask.

We’re to the point now in most cases that it’s a choice, so why should anyone care? I have a friend that wears one because she has lupus and catching covid or even the flu could kill her. She believes in it. It’s her choice and no one gives her shite about it. Let it be.

I think its 50/50. I do know some older people that are genuinely scared to death and trying everything to not catch Covid. All for different reasons some have legit health issues beyond their control, some because someone close to them died or came close to dying.
Others I think it is political. I have considered a few times that I might totally mask up. Cover myself in such a way that totally covers my skin and wear dark shades into a few stores to see if it freaks ppl out just for shits and giggles.

It would be one thing if they actually did any good but 99% of them don't. That Hanes underwear on your face just makes you look stupid. But by all means, wear it if it makes you feel better.
