Popularity of the monarchy/royal family has actually been up in recent years.

George was a pretty cute little baby, but I only saw him on the cover of rags in the checkout line. Why people pay more than a passing glance is beyond me.

I like the historical aspect of monarchies. There are not many things man has maintained a long continuity of through a thousand years of history like a monarchy.
Sure, but this one doesn't mean anything. Will the House of Windsor ever get tossed out?

How will the lineage change? Because Harry’s wife is mixed race? Neither Harry, his children, his children’s children, etc. will ever sniff the British throne. That’s the only reason why he is being allowed to marry a divorced American woman, much less one who is of mixed race.

Harry was a world class party animal, plowing his way through many OT 9's. This one must have a Wizard Sleeve down there, considering she is not very attractive.

ETA: I see the homo contingent has arrived with it's 2 little downvotes.

The "Windsor" dynasty is actually the Saxe Coburg Gotha dynasty, a continuation of the Hanover dynasty. Both families are full blooded German, from the Holy Roman Empire/German federation. Despite taking the name "Mountbatten," Prince Philip, the current Queen's consort is also full German, from the House of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glucksberg. They're all German AF. Not a touch of British blood.
Unlike Charles, Diana came from an actual British stock, so her children - William and Harry- actually have British blood in them. Assuming Kate MIddleton is also British, their kid is even more British.

The Windsors are not the first German kings of Britain. That distinction goes to the Saxons. Britain has been repeatedly invaded, starting with Julius Caesar. Around 10% of the English population has a French derived surname courtesy of the Norman conquest.

Because she’s a real woman. Bet she cooked supper and cleaned up too.
