Mississippi doesn’t tax retirement income.

But why would anyone move there?

About 12 years ago, the wife and I went down in southern Fla to look for a second home. After a week looking, I was like WTF as far as feeling like I was in a third world country. Felt like that all the way down in the keys. We blew that idea away after that trip.

What about south Florida made you feel like you were in a third world country? Where were you?

1. “Man-made” climate change is a farce.

2. The sargassum weed is not on the beaches 365 days a year. Some seasons are worse than others and some years are worse than others. Also, the sargassum weed is not a “new” development. There is a reason that the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Florida is known as the “Sargasso Sea”.

They go corner younger people in the grocery and pharmacy, and rant about how great things were up north.

They get on the roads at rush hour and drive 10% below the speed limit, mindlessly turning, and changing lanes without benefit of blinkers.

They watch the grocery store ads and are at the store at opening time to descend on any good sale items, like locusts. they will buy 50 cans of chicken noodle soup if it is $.46 per can.

They will fight you to the death to make sure you understand that Hurricane Sandy was 10x worse than Andrew.

They vote for retards, based on affiliation. Qualifications mean nothing.

They bitch constantly about the heat. If only there had been some way to know it was hot

You didn't mention how they'll let you know how much better the doctors are up North.

Also, how many less bugs there are.

And how much better the New York Yankees are.

People saying this is a troll question can kiss my arse. I'm also vexed as to what draws them to Florida as well.

shite that gets me disgustipated include: hot weather, large bugs, a-hole-hostile bugs, humidity, too much fricking sun, large crowds of people.

When I retire, I'm moving further away from the tropics, not closer to them.

Also, that fool didn't know that the sargassum weed in the gulf stream and at the edge of the stream harbors one of the best sport fisheries in the world.

That was one dumb post.
