New York City could disappear from the planet and I wouldn't give two shits.

I see ZERO draw to visiting there. I hate crowds and I hate the yankee accent. And I hate arrogant city people who think they are superior to rural folk.

Give me the wide open spaces and the wilderness of this great country, frick the big cities. I live north of Houston and I don't even like going there.

Not at all. And I'd argue that fatass city people are just as prevalent as fatass country folk.

I get more exercise out riding my MTB through forests then you do shlubbing around city streets.

Except that Bourdain has a section in a book he wrote devoted to the BEC and its importance to New York and New Yorkers. So, not quite, bro.

So? Never claimed to be a Bourdain fan, just pointing out his observation of hipsters in funny looking hats and comparing them to idiots boasting that a simple sandwich is life changing.

Never read a Bourdain book, have no desire to.

And if he thought a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich is “important” to NY and New Yorkers, it probably explains why he spent so much of his life hooked on drugs.

Did he mention making it more exotic by adding heavy black pepper and light salt?

I’m stunned the secret is out. Who ever knew that adding salt and pepper to a BEC sandwich was so magical and brilliant?

The fascination with the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich (BEC) as a symbol of New York City isn’t just about the ingredients—it’s about the culture, the execution, and the context. Let’s break down the truth in the statements:

You could have just wrote "I hate" and we would have got the gist of it.
