Both shitholes

Mandeville and Covington are not “paradise” but they are not shite holes. If that’s what a shite hole looks like, I’m curious how you describe the rest of the state.

Probably one of the better places to raise a family in the state.

The people that don’t live here don’t know where to go, how to stay away from congestion etc. And that is fine by me.

Smyrna is much better than Covington / Mandeville. You've got the world's largest gun store. The baseball stadium is right there. There are hundreds of thousands of well-paid jobs. Atlanta is 5 minutes away... unless you're just really against having to see Black people or really into youth soccer I don't see where this is even a contest.

Because there aren't too many nice places in Louisiana to live. Mandeville/Convington and Lafayette and that's about it.

Whaaaat? Covington and Mandeville are awesome. They're upscale suburbs of NOLA, on the water, safe, good schools, etc. They've got a ton of NOLA influence, without the issues of the city. Best part is they're only a short trip into the city. Not sure what there's not to like?

ETA: Old Covington is beautiful. Old Mandeville is charming as well.

Yea. Just gotta hope and pray your kids don't get diddled by all the pedo cops or addicted to meth/heroin.

Other than that it's great!

The OT is loaded with racists and afrophobes who prefer to live amongst pedophiles than alongside african americans.

Dated a girl from there and Mandeville/Covington is boring af. Don't understand how anyone would willingly choose to live there especially with that commute.

There's a black dude I used to work with who had a white wife. They moved up to Dahlonega and he was telling me how his wife would make fun of him for choosing to live there being he's "Da Lone N**ga" in town.
