Why is Walgreens cracking down so much on getting pain meds. Everytime I go get it filled its always a different excuse Why they can't fill it.

A brother can't even get Watsons anymore

Because a lot of morons abuse pain meds and screw it up for the people who don't.

I went to the hospital with excruciating tooth pain once, just wanting a blocker.

They treated me like I was trying to con them out of pain pills.

My cousin suffers from fibromyalgia and when he runs out of his medicine he gets nausea, cold sweats, diarrhea etc and he has to go to all the pharmacies and literally beg them to refill his medicine. It’s really sad how Biden’s war on sick people has messed up healthcare

Go to your locally owned drug store, like Messinas....

Those big pharmacies lost my business years ago!

Start using an independent pharmacist. So much better.

False. Only women suffer from fibromyalgia.

A lot of people have invisible illnesses that you can’t see. People always hassle him when he parks in the handicapped spot but he could have a flare up at any time and not be able to walk good

Yep. Withdrawing from not having his opioid fix. Nothing to do with fibromyalgia.

ER’s see way too many pain med seekers and it makes the doctors skeptical. And remember, they don’t have your history and have to figure you out on the spot. It’s sad, but it’s true.

Most professions have to "read people" and can be civil about it, and not make terrible assumptions.

Wife breaks her kneecap on a Sunday. I drive home (40 miles or so from the hospital). She has an RX for an opiate based pain med. No pharmacy open on Sunday where I live so I call around Shreveport.

CVS would not fill it unless she was with me. "She can barely get around ... she just broke her knee." Nope, can't fill it unless she is here.

A year or so ago I was in a doc in a box minute clinic. The P.A. said that the pain I was in constituted something stronger than advil but she couldn't write me a script. She said only in the E.R. could they.

I went to the Pot Pharmacy.

usually they require a hard copy on paper of the Rx.

I would much rather physicians believe people regarding their pain than keep people in pain. Yeah, opiods are addicting but if people can't get them, they are still going to self medicate.

In this case, the self medication is so much better.
