In a purely free market, it must be because demand is higher on Christmas Day? I don't think it could be low supply given the general lack of family pride in the hooker population.

They know the only customers they'll have are real losers, that don't have any family or friends to celebrate Christmas with. Another reason for them charging more might be because of anticipated hospital bills from the loser customers beating them up on Christmas. Spousal and child abuse is probably why guys like you can't see their ex-wives and kids at Christmas. You don't have parents to celebrate with, because your dad probably killed your mom one Christmas Eve.
