Could be the kind of socks you wear. Try 100% cotton socks.
Synthetic fibers don't breathe so socks with synthetic fiber will trap moisture inside and cause odor.

Just to add to this, but if you have a problem with foot odor, do not wear socks with dye in them. Clean your feet well with a full treatment of anti bacterial spray or powder and then wear plain white socks. When I wore colored socks, my feet would always smell no matter what I did. Once I switched to white socks only, it made a tremendous difference.

I also sleep barefoot and do not keep my feet in socks if I don’t need to. The longer you keep them trapped, the more chance of a fungus to grow.

Pedicures.
Get all that dead skin and bacteria off your feet.
Then buy new shoes and a foot scrub for the shower.

My feet and my shoes don't stink. I don't like to wear socks. I use Dial soap. That's all I got.

Don’t wear synthetic socks. Cotton or wool only.

If I wear nylon or polyester it’s horrible. Zero odor with cotton or wool though.

Clindamycin solution at night works like a charm. Get a Rx from your dermatologist.

If you put your shoes in your freezer overnight it will kill the bacteria that lives in them. I’d recommend putting them in plastic bag though.

Pee on your feet when you first get in the shower. Let soak one minute then shower as usual. Report back in five days.

And get some good wool socks.
