Also, it waters down the drink. They think it's dumb to put ice in drinks in most circumstances. They drink fewer soft drinks.
Ice served in American restaurants is often kinda dirty as well, btw.

Be lucky you have a combo. Most Germans hang dry their clothes, energy is expensive homie.
